If you don’t know already, I’m a big fan of the Gohunt.com platform. The information available on this site is a critical part of my hunt planning each year. If you are a western big game hunter and you are looking to up your game, you owe it to yourself to check it out. www.gohunt.com.
I wrote an article for GoHunt.com about the challenges of solo hunting. The majority of my days hunting in the backcountry are solo trips. I wrote this article to share some of the challenges and trials that you will face when you go solo.
There is something special and almost magical about hunting solo. In some ways, going solo has become a rite of passage!
Solo hunting was a forced necessity for me. Like many hunters, I have an unquenchable passion for big game hunting and dreamed of moving and living out West. It was like western hunting was woven into my DNA.
I’m incredibly blessed to have a very free and flexible schedule when it comes to hunting. There were not many of my Montana friends were in that position, so I end up rolling solo on many of my hunting adventures.
I hope you will enjoy this article.
